Connecticut High School Football Huddle

With Thanksgiving just a few days behind us, the Connecticut high school football playoffs begin Tuesday night with quarterfinal action in four classifications.

The field of 32 features two schools (Xavier and Masuk) back to defend their 2010 titles, along with three 2010 runners-up (Asonia, New London and New Canaan) looking to change their silver medals for gold ones.

Defending Class LL champ Xavier is back to defend its title.  The Falcons have won 23 straight coming into its first-round match-up with Glastonbury.

In Class L, New Canaan, which lost to Masuk in last year's final will open with New London, which lost to Hillhouse in last year's Class M championship game.  Masuk is seeded #3 this year, and opens at home with North Haven.
