Connecticut High School Football Championship Match-ups

Connecticut will crown its six state champions Saturday with only New Canaan back to defend a 2008 championship. The Rams (10-1) will play second seeded East Lyme for the Class MM title.

Defending state champs Glastonbury ('08 LL Champs) and New London ('08 SS Champs) both lost in the semifinals.

Wethersfield found the win column for the first time this season with a 59-34 win over Tolland Saturday. The main reason, Tyler Murphy, who according to the Hartford Courant carried the by just 12 times for 263 yards and four TDs, plus a kickoff and punt return.

All 146 Connecticut Now on the Pre-Season Practice Field

On September 16th, Connecticut will become the final state in the country to open the regular season. Changes were made that this year that allowed teams to take part in spring practices, which meant that 52 teams started last week, while the remaining 96 joined-in on Monday.
