David Roach Takes Over as Head Football Coach at Pomperaug HS

David Roach, an Pomperaug assistant from 2001 to 2007, is the new head coach of the Panthers.

Roach takes over for Chuck Drury, who coached at Pomperaug for 35 years during two stints as head coach.  Drury left in May to become an assistant under his son Mike, who became the head coach at Southington.

Roach, who is 32-years old, returned to Pomperaug as a teacher in 2009.
