Stamford Names High School Football Field after NFL Hall of Famer

The City of Stamford will honor the late Andy Robustelli on September 16th when they rename the field at Boyle Stadium after the Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Robustelli, who died May 31st, is a Stamford native who played in the NFL from 1951 to 1964 for the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants.

Andy Robustelli Field at Boyle Stadium will be dedicated when Stamford hosts Warren Harding High School on September 16th.

Connecticut Takes 9th Straight Win Over Rhode Island in Governor's Cup

The Connecticut All-Stars rolled to their ninth straight win over the Rhode Island All-Stars in the 13th annual Governors' Cup that was played Friday night at Southington High School.

Ansonia's Montrell Dobbs was the star for the Nutmeg State with 90-yards on eight carries, including a 77-yard touchdown run in the 37-6 victory.  Dobbs was named his team's offensive MVP.

Connecticut now leads the all-time series 10-3.
